Two Injured in Early-Morning KCK Shootings

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police are investigating after a pair of shootings left two people injured early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the first victim was shot in the hand around 2:00 a.m. in the 2100 block of N. 33rd Street. The victim’s father called 911 saying that someone had shot his son.

The victim in that shooting may lose his hand.

The second victim was shot a few blocks away in the 3100 block of Waverly. Police say that the victim in that shooting was taken to a local hospital with what are described as life-threatening injuries.

Police have not identified the victims in either shooting, but say that the two incidents may be related. There is no word on any suspects in the case.
