Women Claim Inappropriate Touching During Hair Removal

ST. PETERS, Mo. — A 48-year-old man is facing charges that he inappropriately touched eleven women while he was performing laser hair removal treatment on them.

Police say it happened at a clinic in St. Peters, Mo., about 30 miles northwest of St. Louis.

Lawrence Branam was arrested last week after the first alleged victim came forward.  Then ten more women who received treatment at the Cosmetic Laser Center also contacted police to report Branam touched them inappropriately as well.

The first woman described the touching as sexual in nature and unwanted.

Branam was charged with Deviate Sexual Assault in the first case and is facing more charges. He was being held in the St. Charles County Jail on $100,000 bond.

If anyone in this area received treatment from Branam and feels they may have been a victim, police ask that they call 636-278-2244 to file a report.
