K-State puts KU out of its misery

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The K-State Wildcats beat Kansas 31-10 Saturday, extending their winning streak over their rivals to five. K-State jumped out to a 21-0 lead on a pair of Jake Waters touchdown passes and a 21-yard run by John Hubert. The K-State senior rushed for a career-high 220 yards and two touchdowns. The Jayhawks turned the ball over six times, and the Wildcats turned three of those takeaways into touchdowns.

After losing four of its first six games to start the season, K-State has won five of its last six and finished the regular season 7-5. The Wildcats now await a bowl invitation. The Jayhawks finish the season 3-9 overall and 1-8 in the Big 12.
