COLUMBIA, Mo. — Just one day after the Missouri Tiger basketball program accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 NIT, Head Coach Frank Haith has suspended two players for the violation of team rules.

Freshman guards, Shane Rector and Wes Clark, were both arrested over the weekend along with Missouri football players Shaun Rupert and Aarion Penton. All four were charged on suspicion of possessing fewer than 35 grams of marijuana, which is considered a misdemeanor.

All four men were released on a signature bond and are ordered to appear in Columbia Municipal Court on April 25. In reference to playing on Tuesday night in the NIT game against Davidson, Haith said the status of both basketball players was still unknown.
