NAMESTOVO, Slovakia — Amateur video footage captured the collapse of a Slovakian ice rink over the weekend, just moments after a group of kids attending a hockey camp cleared the ice.
According to a report on Yahoo’s Puck Daddy blog, the camp was being run by former Florida Panther’s forward Richard Zednick. The children at the training session last Sunday had just managed to clear the ice when the roof collapsed under the weight of snow and ice.
There were no injuries reported in the incident. The rink had just opened last November, and the collapse is under investigation.
