PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. —  The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is talking to a person of interest in the case of two missing women from Edgerton, Mo. Two search warrants have also been executed in relation to the case.

Police in Edgerton, Mo. started investigating the disappearance of two women that went missing on Friday. The Edgerton Police Department received a call about two young children that were left at home unattended. The children’s mother, Britny Haarup is one of the missing women. She is described as a white, 5’3, 130 pounds. Haarup’s two children were found by her husband Matt in their cribs. They are fine and are now with their father.

The other woman, Ashley Key is a 22-year-old white female. She is described as 5’5 and 100 pounds. A pick-up truck that the women were last seen in has been located near the Clinton County/Platte County line near SW 200th Street.

Haarup’s family believes her disappearance is suspicious because at least one of the women left their cell phone behind.
