PLATTE CITY, Mo. — The principal of Platte County High School has resigned his position after getting busted in a Kansas City, Missouri, prostitution sting.

Dr. Pat Martin, 37, was arrested last week after he allegedly responded to an online ad to meet up with a prostitute at a Northland motel.

Kansas City Missouri Police say that they placed the ad as part of a sting operation, saying that Martin agreed to pay an undercover female detective posing as a prostitute $150 for sex acts.

An assistant principal has been named interim principal at the high school, officials said.
