LAFAYETTE CO, Mo. — A man accused of molesting some of his own family members won’t face rape charges.
The Lafayette County prosecutor decided to drop the charge against Jared Mohler because the statue of limitations expired.
However, he still faces five other felony counts.
Police arrested six male members of the Mohler family in 2009 for allegedly molesting female members of the family on a western Missouri farm in the mid-1980s.
The father, Darrel Mohler, 74, died earlier this year, awaiting trial in a Florida jail.
All others have pleaded not guilty to the accusations.
