*UPDATE: Olathe police tweeted at 8:23 a.m. Wednesday that John Murphy has been found and he is safe.
OLATHE, Kan. — Olathe police are attempting to locate a 68-year-old man last seen at his home around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and then seen again in Independence later that night.
Police said John Murphy has grey hair and hazel eyes. He stands 5-foot-9 and weighs 160 pounds.
Police initially said he might be driving a white Honda Accord with Kansas license plate 012ENY, but that vehicle was located in Independence and is no longer associated with this case.
John is still missing and was last seen leaving the QuikTrip on 40 Highway and Highway 291 at approximately 5 p.m.
