VERSAILLES, Mo. — A Stover man has been charged in connection to a double homicide in central Missouri last week.

Ronald James Blowers, 25, faces two counts of second-degree murder in the December 3 killing of Wayne and Marble Wells in their Stover, Missouri, home.

According to an autopsy, the victims were killed by blunt-force trauma to the head – prosecutors believe that the couple was killed with a pipe, knife and screwdriver. Police say that when contacted by officers at his home, Blowers brandished a knife at police in his driveway and began stabbing himself repeatedly in the stomach – telling police, “I did not mean to do it.”

Blowers was taken into custody and transported to a hospital. Police say that Blowers admitted using a pipe, knife and screwdriver to inflict the injuries.

Blowers is being held in the Morgan County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $1,000,000 bond.
