KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Investigators say that a body has been found at the scene of an apartment fire in south Kansas City.
According to Kansas City Fire Department officials, firefighters responded to the blaze on Monday night at an apartment in the 10600 block of Washington. It was initially thought that no victims or injuries occurred in the fire, but on Tuesday a body was found under debris in kitchen area, and Kansas City Missouri Police arson investigators were called to the scene.
The cause of the fire and the identity of the victim – as well as their cause of death – is still under investigation.
