KANSAS CITY, Mo. — With a record of 2-13, the Kansas City Chiefs are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the worst record in the NFL, but a plethora of Chiefs are headed to Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii for the Pro Bowl in January.
Out of the five Chiefs players chosen to represent the AFC, safety Eric Berry and linebacker Tamba Hali were the only designated starters. It will be the second Pro Bowl for both players.
Also making a second trip to the Pro Bowl will be running back Jamaal Charles and linebacker Derrick Johnson. It will be the first Pro Bowl for punter Dustin Colquitt.
Berry, a fifth overall pick in 2010, has 80 tackles and one interception this season. Hali, a 20th overall pick in 2006, has racked up 49 tackles and nine sacks. Johnson, the 15th overall pick in 2005, leads the team with 119 tackles.
Charles, a third-round pick in 2008, currently leads the AFC in rushing with 1,456 yards. Of his five touchdown runs, three went for over 80 yards.
Colquitt boasts a single-season franchise record of 42 punts inside the 20-yard line this season, and is averaging 40.25 net yards per punt. He has been one of the Chiefs’ best players since being selected late in the third-round of the 2005 draft.
