KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City Recycling Organization is giving the gift of free computers this holiday season.
The Surplus Exchange gave away five computers this morning four desktop units and one laptop. All the computers are reburbished. The not-for-profit organization says re-built computers not only are good for protecting the environment, but benefit those who are less fortunate this time of year.
“Our mission has always been to try and provide technology to underprivileged people. People who are a little less fortunate,” says Bob Ackers/Surplus Exchange.
Surplus Exchange originally planned to give away two computers, but later decided the need was there and added three more computers to their holiday program.
