KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police were called to the area of Elmood and Scarritt avenues Wednesday for a “shots fired” call, briefly putting Gladstone Elementary school on lockdown.

The school was not involved with the shots fired call, police said, and was only on lockdown as a precautionary measure since students were about to be done for the day.

According to police, the shots were fired at a nearby home, however no one was hit or injured.
