OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A missing student from the metro left frantic voicemails for her family the day she disappeared. Aisha Khan pleaded over the phone just before she disappeared from the KU Edwards Campus on December 16.
When Kahn disappeared, she left behind her books, I-Pod and cell phone. She left a voice mail for her sister, Faiza Kahn on the day she disappeared after being confronted by a stranger. Her sister believes the man was either drunk or high and Aisha pushed or slapped him.
No one has seen or heard from her since.
Overland Park Police have searched nearby creeks, parks and the KU Edwards Campus. So far, no clues in the 19-year-old’s disappearance.
National news programs have also picked up the story. Aisha’s brother and sister will both appear on CNN this week. They hope by talking to the media someone will remember seeing something.
“You don’t know what’s happened, if she’s out there in the cold, if she’s hungry for last few days, if she has clothes or not,” said
“Keep us in your prayers and think of Aisha all the time, when you go to the gas station, post office, think of Aisha Kahn at all times.”
The family has put up a $10, 000 reward. If you have any information please call Overland Park Police or the TIPS Hotline at *916) 474-TIPS.
