KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police responded in force to a home in the 5000 block of Spring Street in Kansas City, Mo., Friday morning.
The resident of the home told police three to four armed men attempted to rob him around 5 a.m., but he was able to escape, while the suspects were possibly still inside.
Officers were called to the scene and initiated an ‘Operation 100’ at about 6 a.m.– a term they used during standoff or hostage situations.
About two and a half hours later, police went into the home, but found no one inside.
