Kahn’s family believe she was abducted last Friday from the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park. Khan had been studying at the school when she left two family members voicemails about being approached by a strange man. A short time later, they found her cell phone and books on the table, but Khan was nowhere to be found.
A construction project is underway. The construction crew of 85 people was scattered around the inside of the building. Private investigator Ron Rugen says it wouldn’t be an ideal scene for an abduction.
“If something happened in that area it could go unnoticed,” Rugen said. “But leaving from that area, it would be hard to go unnoticed.”
Whatever happened on Friday morning went unnoticed. The construction superintendent tells FOX 4 that no one on the crew saw anything suspicious. He says if they would’ve seen something they would’ve stepped in. Family and friends say they are confident that Khan didn’t run off.
