KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Social media makes it easier to connect with friends we don’t often see. It allows us to meet people we wouldn’t otherwise meet.
And, it’s a way to share ideas with anyone who is interested.
A new website created by Fred Pryor, of Fred Pryor Seminars & CareerTrack business training, helps people with disabilities connect with others for information on the latest treatments, research and social events.
“You know the difficulty if you go on facebook is that you look and look and look and look and look and maybe finally find something,” Pryor said. “Wouldn’t it be nice if there was something that was more focused so if the person is challenged that they could go to just that particular section.”
It doesn’t cost to join UniqueConnect.org. Anyone with a special need is invited to become a member. It is set up so members can connect by the state they live in and by their disability.
Pryor hopes it will grow to be a clearing house of information for all people with exceptionalities, improving their lives and improving their connections.
