KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Law enforcement authorities are looking for a man they say robbed a Phillips 66 gas station located at 6th and Wyandotte.
Police say just before midnight, a man entered the store wearing a black carheartt style jacket and rubber gloves. He pulled out a handgun in front of a store employee and demanded money from the register.
He then made the employee go to the back of the store where the suspect tried to access the store safe.
The suspect escaped out the front door after making the employee go stand in the bathroom located in the back of the store.
Police say the man is approximately 5-feet, 8 inches in height and appears to be in his 40s and wears a reddish overgrown goatee.
