KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A mother who lost her daughter and then her son to violence has donated more money to the reward funds set up to find her children’s killers.

Cheri Clark-Bey’s daughter, Shukriyyah Simmons was murdered on February 23, 2010 in Raytown. She was found shot in front of her home.

Then in September, Clark-Bey’s son, Thomas Simmons, was killed. Police found him behind the wheel of his car at Gregory and Prospect Ave.

A witness to the shooting told police that a black male sitting in the backseat of a silver Pontiac opened fire on Simmons. The witness said there were two other black males inside the car.

The mother donated $2,500 to each reward fund. With the newest donation, the possible reward for information leading to an arrest is $3,500 in each case.
