AUSTIN, Tex. — Led by junior guard Michael Dixon, the Missouri Tigers held off a late rally from Texas and won 67-66 Monday night in Austin, Texas. The win by Missouri (20-2, 7-2 in the Big 12) now assures the Tigers of a 20-win season, and gives them five full days to rest before they meet bitter rival Kansas on Saturday night in Columbia.

Missouri led 27-22 at the half, and led by as many as 10 points in the second half. Dixon scored 21 points, and was aided by senior forward Ricardo Ratliffe who scored 13 along with guard Phil Pressey.

Texas took a brief lead late when J’Covan Brown scored two of his 20 points to give Texas a brief 66-65 lead. Texas (13-9, 3-6 in Big 12) lost for the second time this season to Missouri.
