KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Finding love 30,000 feet in the air can be relatively easy, but hanging on to that brand new, budding romance can be tricky. A new website hopes to change all that.
WeMetOnAPlane.com is working to reconnect flyers who experienced sparks in the air.
Here’s how the free service works:
1.) Flyers enter their flight information and search for the love that got away. Any relevant stories that match pop up.
2.) If nothing matches, you can be the first to “share your story.”
3.) WeMetOnAPlane.com then allows you to share your story on Facebook and Twitter for better odds at finding the person you’re looking for.
4.) Users can then subscribe to receive emails every time someone comments on your post.
According to CNN, the creator of the website, Will Cully-Power, 31, came up with the idea after meeting his own girlfriend on a plane in 2011. Cully-Power discovered 4,400 people search ‘met on a plane’ on Google every month, which was enough to convince him to launch his website.
