INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Independence Animal Services needs the public’s help so it can continue to save lives.  One way to help is to donate.  Another is to adopt a shelter pet.

However, if you aren’t ready to commit to a new member of the family, Independence Animal Services still has a way for you to get involved – through fostering.

Foster parents keep the cat or dog for a few days up to a few weeks until the shelter can find a permanent home for the animal.

The at capacity shelter is offering an orientation session for residents interested in fostering kittens.  The orientation is Feb. 1 from 4 to 6

For more information, become a fan of the shelter on Facebook, visit Independence Animal Services online or call (816) 325-7207.
