KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Many Kansas Citians planned to celebrate the city’s fountains on Thursday for the K.C. Festival of Fountains.
The celebration is centered at the Bloch Fountain in front of Union Station, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Guided tours will leave Union Station every 10-15 minutes from noon until 4 p.m. There will also be free activities for families, as well as vendors offering food and drinks for sale.
The City of Fountains Foundation is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It organized the event and is encouraging people to make contributions for immediate fountain repairs.
