BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — Two bodies were found inside a hotel room in Bonner Springs, Kan., on Thursday afternoon. On Friday they were identified as Michael James and Lacie Martinez, both in their 20’s and both from North Carolina.
According to police, a maid found the bodies of a man and woman around 12:30 p.m. at a Holiday Inn Express, 13031 Ridge Dr., near Interstate 70 and Kansas Highway 7. They were commuting from North Carolina to Seattle, Wash.
The case has now been ruled a murder-suicide, but that is the extent of the information that has been released.
