OLATHE, Kan. – On Saturday the community gathered for a party to find Lindey, a German Shepherd, a new home. Lindey was thrown from an overpass back in March.
She had several surgeries that were paid for with donations. Neighbors gathered at the Bass Pro Shop to meet the German Shepherd. Organizers said those who have met Lindey are immediately inspired.
“I think the whole idea of a dog who was put through what she went through is just so hard to comprehend for most people that it’s something that just draws them in and brings out the compassion. It’s been a huge outpouring for her and support,” organizer Nancy Campbell said.
