SHAWNEE, Kan. – Officers were sent to the 4800 block of Clare Road at about 10 o’clock on Friday night and found a motorcycle and injured person laying in the road. After being transported to the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Richard D. Shelby died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
Investigators believe that Shelby was wearing a helmet but all other factors of the accident are still being investigated.
