LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department invites people to sign up for their ‘dead deer’ list.

When deputies spot a dead deer on the road, they look to the list to have someone come pick it up.

To be on the list, you must be at least 18-years old and willing to pick up the deer at any time of the day or night. You also must be able to remove it without any assistance from a deputy.
