KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several starters returned to the practice field for the Chiefs on Wednesday. Brandon Albert (knee), Anthony Fasano (concussion), Eric Fisher (shoulder) and Justin Houston (elbow) participated in the team’s walk-through and warmed up for practice.
Dexter McCluster (foot infection) looked fine as he returned kick-offs. Their progress over the next few days will determine whether or not they will be able to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Charles named AFC Player of the Week
Chiefs’ running back Jamaal Charles is the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week. Charles tied a franchise record by scoring five touchdowns in Sunday’s win at Oakland. He caught eight passes for 195 yards and four touchdowns. Charles is having a huge season for the Chiefs. Through 14 games, he has rushed for 1,181 yards and 11 TDs and he has 655 receiving yards and seven TD receptions.
