WACO, Tex. — No. 8 Kansas rebounded from its first Big 12 loss by beating Baylor 69-52 at the Ferrell Center. Andrew Wiggins was scoreless until the final seconds of the first half when his 50-foot heave beyond half-court went splashed in, beating the halftime buzzer and giving KU an 8-point lead.

Wiggins went on to score 14, Naadir Tharpe scored a team-high 22 points, and Perry Ellis chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. KU (17-5 / 8-1 in the Big 12) returns to Lawrence to host West Virginia on Saturday. Baylor(14-8 / 2-7) has lost six of its last seven games. The Bears have also lost four straight home games.
