UKRAINE — A woman from the Ukraine, who has gained a lot of attention for transforming herself into a life-sized human Barbie doll, is making news again by claiming she intends to train herself to exist on a diet consisting only of air and light.
According to the Daily Mail, 23-year-old Valeria Lukyanova, who wishes to one day achieve the title of ‘most perfect woman on the internet,’ claims she no longer eats and rarely drinks, but rather lives on a diet of only light and air. The model, who is a self-proclaimed spiritual guru, says she uses her physical appearance to gain followers for her teachings. She says she is following ‘Breatharianism,’ which is a cult-like belief that one does not need food or water to live.
Lukyanova, who also claims she talks to aliens, time travels and has out of body experiences, admits to only ever having a breast augmentation and claims she has had no other plastic surgery, although there are countless YouTube videos and websites devoted to calling her bluff.
Lukyanova’s bizarre claims and appearance have made her an international internet star, with nearly one million likes on her Facebook page.
