NEW YORK (WPIX) — A woman took off on foot after she somehow crashed her SUV through a guardrail in Brooklyn Wednesday morning, the car landing on top of a ‘Q’ train.
Officials said the black Nissan drove onto the sidewalk close to 5 a.m., careening into a barrier on East 15th Street and Abermarle Road in Flatbush.
The out-of-control SUV then slammed on top of a Coney Island bound ‘Q’ train.
The driver, who sources said was a woman, apparently ran off.
The passengers on the train were transferred to a rescue train, an MTA official told the Daily News.
No injuries were reported.
Because of repairs being done on the fence, southbound ‘Q’ trains are running express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway.
The driver is still on the lam, according to police.
