PECULIAR, Mo. —  The Cass County Prosecutor filed murder charges against two 18-year-old men, accusing them of killing Forrest D. Fuller, 25, whose body was discovered Wednesday afternoon, June 4, in the area of Wills Cemetery, 21800 block of S. Thorngorve Rd. in Cass County.

In addition to the 1st degree murder charge, Mathew Volland, 18, and Tyler Smallwood, 18, also face one count each of armed criminal action.

Volland and Smallwood are in custody, held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

According to the probable cause statement, Volland and the victim agreed to meet each other at the cemetery to fight.

Prosecutors say Smallwood accompanied Volland. When Volland got out of the truck and approached Fuller to fight, prosecutors allege Smallwood hid in the truck and then opened fire on Fuller from inside.

Investigators say Fuller was hit at least six times in the arms and torso. Detectives found six .22 caliber spent casings and one live round of ammunition at the scene.
