People typically don’t get this close to humpback whales, however for some fishermen in New Jersey they now have a ‘whale’ of a story — with video to prove it.
The father and daughter duo were in a kayak when a humpback whale swam within 10 feet of them — and did what whales do — blow water in the air.
“You get covered in it,” the father said. “It’s not something very appealing (because it smelled like fish), but it was definitely something special.”
