OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police identified a man killed in an early morning motorcycle accident in Overland Park, Kan., as 24-year-old R. Brock Rodgers. The accident happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday near 153rd Terrace and Quivira. Police said Rodgers lived in the neighborhood.

According to accident investigators, Rodgers was driving at a high-rate of speed when he lost control and hit a concrete block. Rodgers traveled airborne through some trees and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Skid marks along the two-lane street show Rodgers may have lost control beginning at 151st Street.

Police report Rodgers was wearing a helmet.
