SHAWNEE, Kan. — Police are asking the public’s help following a shooting on Tuesday evening in Shawnee, Kan.

Shawnee police officers responded to a reported physical fight involving gunshots between several subjects in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 11100 block of 76th Terrace.

Upon arrival, officers discovered all the individuals involved had fled the scene in vehicles. The subject who had fired the handgun was described as a black male with dreadlocks pulled into a pony tail and wearing grey basketball shorts and a white T-shirt.

Several shell casings were discovered at the scene, however no injured individuals have been located. The three other suspects who fled the scene with the suspected shooter were described as black males.
