(CNN) — Two people are dead and at least 20 were injured at a Virginia campground on Thursday after a possible tornado, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller told CNN.

The casualties are the result of a severe storm in Northampton County.

It swept through the Cherrystone Campground in the Cheriton community, Geller said. Twenty-five injured people have been transported to nearby hospitals, Geller said. Three are reportedly in critical condition.
