KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ann Hafner and Madison Clay of Belle Vogue Bridal stopped by the FOX 4 studio to talk about their ‘Gowns for Good’ event, which gives free gowns to military brides, in support and appreciation of those who serve in the armed forces and their families.
Belle Vogue Bridal, a local bridal store in Overland Park, Kan., is hosting the 4th annual ‘Gowns for Good’ event on September 10th and 11th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Belle Vogue will be giving away more than 150 brand new bridal gowns to military brides and will also offer select special occasion gowns for $25. A majority of the wedding gowns that will be given way are exclusive designer samples. Many of the gowns retail for as much as $2900.00.
The store is honored to help military couples with their wedding needs, as they understand being in the military can be restricting to wedding planning. Belle Vogue said they would appreciate any efforts in getting the word out to the Kansas City community. They said the more people they can help, the better!
Members of the armed forces and their partners not only sacrifice for our country, but they also often sacrifice having their dream wedding.
“Every bride deserves to feel beautiful on her special day regardless of time constraints, budget, size of the ceremony, or any other planning obstacle that military brides may encounter. Military brides that are interested in participating in this event must fulfill certain requirements to be eligible. Brides must make an appointment and present their current military ID or their future spouse’s military ID at the time of their appointment. A bride or her fiancé must be a current member of the military and presently, previously (within the last 5 years), or will soon be deployed. Qualified couples must be currently engaged or have had a civil ceremony and/or are planning their special day within the next 18 months. The store requests that eligible brides set up their individual 30-minute appointment as soon as possible.
