KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Persistent rain on Monday forced Major League Baseball to postpone game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles. Game 3 is now scheduled for Tuesday with first pitch slated for 7:07 p.m. The game will be aired on TBS.

MLB says ticketholders who expected to attend the game at Kauffman Stadium Monday night now must use their tickets on Tuesday night, with each of the other games being pushed back a day as well.

Game 4 is now scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 3:07, and game 5, if necessary, is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 3:07.

Games 6 and 7 scheduled in Baltimore are still set for Friday and Saturday night at 7:07 if the series goes that far. The Royals own a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series after sweeping the first two games in Baltimore.

If you paid for parking on Monday afternoon, the Royals say on Twitter that your parking pass will be honored on Tuesday night.

Game 3 projected starters are Jeremy Guthrie for the Royals and Wei-Yin Chen for the Orioles.
