The little girl had been brought to the hospital on Saturday, December 13, more than 24 hours following the incident. As a result, her mother, Katie Grimes, 25, and her grandmother, Karen Wynn, 51, face charges of child abuse and neglect. Prosecutors say Grimes poured the bleach water on her.

Doctors at Children’s Mercy have been treating the child, born January 20, 2012, but as of Monday, FOX 4 was told Kaylynn had left the hospital and was recovering with family.

The little girl’s family would like to extend their thanks to all of those who have helped Kaylynn and the Koehn family.
