KANSAS CITY, Kan. — KCK police want to hear from you if you can help them find the vandals who shot out several car windows. It’s left the owners scrambling to come up with the money to have their window repaired.
A police department spokesman wasn’t able to tell FOX 4 just how many cars were hit, but we spotted five and a neighbor says it’s twice that number.
There’s only a tarp where the driver’s side window should be on Eric Hardman’s car. He is one of several people who had their windows shot out. Police say the reports came from a five-block radius near 51st and Locust.
Police believe the vandals shot out windows around 4 on Sunday morning.
“I can’t pay for this window, so whoever did it needs to step up and turn themselves in,” Hardman said.
Some repairs are estimated as high as about $500 for some of the people whose cars were hit. If you have information that can help KCK police, give them a call or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
