KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City-bound flight blew a tire upon takeoff from Denver on Saturday.
On Saturday a Republic Airlines flight 4870, operating as United Express, took off from the Denver International Airport just before 10 a.m. mountain time, blowing a tire in the process. The Bombardier Q-400, which was carrying 71 passengers and a crew of four, had to circle Denver’s airport for more than an hour before landing.
After a long delay, passengers were accommodated on another flight and were able to take off again. The flight finally landed at the Kansas City International Airport four hours later than expected. Maintenance is reportedly investigating the issue.
FOX 4’s Molly Balkenbush spoke with passengers who were on that flight Saturday.
