OMAHA, Neb. — It’s difficult to know for certain the exact motivation of those who booed Gov. Sam Brownback Sunday at the Shockers vs. Jayhawks NCAA tournament game in Omaha.
It could have been his shirt, which indicated his loyalties were divided.
Or, others speculated on social media that he was booed for his decisions, especially his budget cuts. Whatever it was, he took it in stride and later changed his shirt to one that was exclusively Shockers’ yellow and black and said “Kings of Kansas.”
"Are we being booed?" Yes. Yes you are. #kansasunited #MarchMadness #atleastweagreeonthis pic.twitter.com/2fXURMVcIN

I don't like basketball, but I loved the Brownback booing moment. Way to bring us together Brownback.

It was nice to see Brownback rooting for the universities he's underfunded. #MarchMadness #RockChalk

Sam Brownback gets the bird at the WSU game and it wasn't a Jayhawk!
