KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The father of Zachary Sutton, a 17-year-old old who police said was shot and killed by James Horn Jr., said he is relieved to learn Horn has been killed.

Richard Johnson said he didn’t want Horn to have a trial, but wanted him dead instead.

“All these other people that he tormented can now have relief in their life and not have to worry about him being around anymore,” Johnson told FOX 4.

Johnson said he was planning his son’s funeral Saturday when he heard the news of Horn’s death. He said he hasn’t seen or talked to Zachary in about five years, but said his son planned to join the army once he finished high school.

“He’s gone, it’s over,” he said. “Enjoy your life the way you are supposed to so you don’t have to fear him anymore.”
