MIAMI COUNTY, Kan. – A former emergency dispatcher is out of a job and facing drug charges. Debbie Henson, 42, is charged with possessing methamphetamine, possessing  drug paraphernalia, and official misconduct.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says it received a tip that led investigators to Henson, and they arrested her last week. She spent 18 years working for the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, including 17 as a supervisor.

In June of 2012 she received awards from the Mid-America Regional Council for ‘Outstanding Supervisory Performance’ and ‘Outstanding Team Performance in a Critical Incident.’

She’s free on bond, and declined an interview when FOX 4 inquired.
