KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thursday night was a special night at Arrowhead for one family of Chiefs fans.
Bryant Gormly, who is two-years old and named after Alabama’s legendary head football coach Bear Bryant, attended his first Chiefs game with mom, Kylie, dad, Matt, and 13-year-old brother Michael.
The family had won a raffle from the Chiefs to hold the Arrowhead flag on the field, so the night was already shaping up to be a memorable one.
But it’s what happened right after the Chiefs were done warming up, that mom Kylie says has her two-year-old still smiling.
Kylie says Chiefs wide receiver and former Mizzou All-American, Jeremy Maclin came running over and pointed to Bryant, who was in awe of the all the players standing around him. Kylie adds that Maclin then grabbed Bryant’s right hand, placed his wide receiver gloves in his hand then closed Bryant’s hand on the gloves.
“Huge smiles on both their faces,” Kylie recalled.
“Bryant put the gloves on immediately, cheered all game in them and wouldn’t let anyone hold them,” Kylie said.
Kylie said Bryant wouldn’t take the gloves off all night and even insisted on wearing the gloves to bed.
“This morning when he woke up, sure enough still holding the gloves tightly,” Kylie said.
Kylie said she tweeted her thanks to Maclin, and the wide receiver responded.
“With all the bad press going on with NFL players, it’s awesome to see all the thankful and classy players out there,” Kylie said.

The Chiefs defeated the Green Bay Packers 17-7.
