MARSHALL, Mo. — A Blue Springs man was arrested Monday after he allegedly sexually abused a special needs student at a Marshall, Missouri, school.
Paul Chang, 61, of Blue Springs was arrested at Prairie View State School in Marshall and is charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse and two counts of Sexual Contact with Student.
According to the probable cause statement, a teaching assistant at the school reported seeing Chang inappropriately touching the breast of a severely mentally disabled student. The teaching assistant said she kicked Chang and he stopped and apologized.
Chang is a physical therapist at the school. The probable cause statement says Chang admitted to a case worker that he lifted up the victim’s blouse and kissed her breast, and said there were other incidents with other students.
Police are asking for help identifying other possible victims.
Chang faces up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
