KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say that five violent criminals are now off the streets of Kansas City following a bust at an East Side house on Thursday evening.
Authorities say that convicted felons, weapons and drugs were pulled out of the house near 50th and The Paseo.
“These are what we would consider some serious players,” said Sgt. Charles Huth with the Kansas City Police.
Police are stepping up patrols at the urging of the police chief and hope once people see the police resources in their neighborhoods, they will cooperate and help police fight crime.
“We’re doing what we can in the enforcement piece but what’s really going to impact that is when we get the community feeling safe enough that they are going to cooperate with us,” Huth said.
