KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Swedish clothing store, H&M, opens Thursday at noon on the Plaza, and store representatives say they expect big crowds to welcome the retailer. H&M is a destination store, typically in big cities, and you can’t buy the clothes online.

The store’s known for its fashion-forward designs at affordable prices. It carries clothes for women, men, and children. Thursday’s store opening will be celebrated with special opening day deals and the first 200 people in line will get prizes. For those who love the store, it’s an exciting day.

“I first saw H&M in Amsterdam, and I really liked it, and then I found it in the US later,” said Lizzy Salazar. “I don’t know. It’s a pretty good staple.”

Several other nearby clothing store representatives say they welcome the retailer because it will bring more traffic to the Plaza that will hopefully spill over to their stores.
