OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The best senior lady tennis players in the nation have been competing this week at Overland Park’s Midtown Athletic Club. Women from all over the country are trying to win an indoor national title.
The women are all in their 60s, 70s and eighties. One player, 85-year-old Rita Price says she’s a legend in Denver. Price is full of life and loves tennis!
“It makes me want to sing and dance!” Price said. “I love the people I meet. But tennis players are fantastic! It’s a great sport.”
Price says she was also a burlesque dancer. She loves to entertain and loves an audience. She says she’s happy that she is healthy and can still hit the court.
Price says she’s traveled all over the world competing in tennis.
